The next in-person meeting of the EOSC Federation Build-up Group will take place on 08-09 September 2026 in Karlsruhe, Germany.
The meeting will be hosted by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) at the invitation of the German EOSC Node and its coordinating organisation, NFDI, together with EUDAT EOSC Node.
The main objective of the meeting is to assess the operational progress of the EOSC Federation and prepare for the EOSC Symposium 2026, where a major milestone in the transition to operational activities will be marked.
The meeting will be held in person only. Remote participation will not be possible.
On the second day of the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to join an interactive workshop on SMS requirements for Nodes joining the EOSC Federation. The workshop will review the “EOSC Federation & Nodes’ SMSs – Proposal for initial implementation” document and explore practical examples of how the requirements may be met by Nodes.
