Opena_AIRE_Open_Access_Week

The 10th edition of the International Open Access Week, the global community-driven week of action to open up access to research, will be held from 23th to 27th October 2017. During this week, events, seminars, webinars and many other activities will take place both online and offline.

After the 2016’s theme “Open in Action”, which provided an incentive to broaden the scope and involve all stakeholders, researchers as well as the general public, this year's topic will be "Open in order to…" . This theme is to be considered an invitation to answer the question of what concrete benefits can be realized by making scholarly outputs openly available, a prompt to move beyond talking about openness in itself and focus on what openness enables.

To celebrate Open Access Week, OpenAIRE has scheduled a series of webinars on a variety of topics, including discipline-specific tools and workflows, the legal aspects of Open Science, and an interactive session on Research Data Management.
