The EUDAT CDI Council formally appoints EUDAT Ltd. as the hosting party of the Collaboration

On the 16th of April 2018, the 4th EUDAT CDI Council Meeting took place in Malaga, in conjunction with the first EOSC-hub week. The Council is the ultimate decision-making body of the EUDAT Collaborative Data Infrastructure (CDI) and is composed by one representative per service providers participating in the Collaboration Agreement. EUDAT services: building blocks of the recently launched EOSC-hub Service Catalogue

The EOSC-hub project has recently launched its Service Catalogue www.eosc-hub.eu/catalogue. The catalogue comprises services provided by the EUDAT CDI, the EGI Federation and the INDIGO-DataCloud project and Thematic Services provided by research communities. EOSC-hub and OpenAIRE-Advance collaboration formally starts

On the 30th April 2018 the two flagship EC initiatives, OpenAIRE-Advance and EOSC-hub, opened a new chapter in their collaboration by signing a formal collaboration agreement. EUDAT supports the analysis and long-term preservation of herbarium specimen images: Watch the new HERBADROP-EUDAT video

Herbadrop is both an archival service for long-term preservation of herbarium specimen images and a tool for extracting information by image analysis. Developed by five institutes from Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands and Scotland it aims to be available to other herbaria in the future. EUDAT workshop "Coupling HPC & data services together" at the European HPC Summit Week 2018, 30 May 2018, Ljubljana

EUDAT CDI contributes to this year European HPC Summit Week 2018, 28 May - 1 June 2018, Ljubljana, Slovenia by organising the workshop "Coupling HPC & data services together". The capability to couple data and compute resources together is key factor to fuel scientific innovation and advance research frontiers. The goal of this session is to present the EUDAT services, the interoperability possibilities between infrastructures, the results of the collaboration activity achieved so far and how users can apply for obtaining combined resources. The third edition of the annual Digital Infrastructures for Research (DI4R) conference will be held this year at the University of Lisbon campus in Lisbon, Portugal, from 9 to 11 October. Building on the success of DI4R2016 (Krakow) and DI4R2017 (Brussels), DI4R2018 promises to be the biggest and best yet.
