EUDAT Ltd is pleased to welcome Laura Himanen and Rumana Quazi, as the new Project Managers to the team. Coming from CSC – IT Center for Science, the two together will steer EUDAT's participation in two key European Open Science Cloud initiatives: EOSC4ALL and EOSC Mesh. Laura Himanen specialises in research information management and research assessment. Since joining CSC in 2022, she has worked within the DRIVE unit, which runs EUDAT's activities in Finland, focusing primarily on developing Research.fi, the country's national research information hub. At EUDAT Ltd, Laura will lead the coordination and delivery of EUDAT's work in EOSC4ALL, while also supporting activities in EOSC Mesh. She holds a PhD in Administrative Sciences from Tampere University.
Rumana Quazi is a Software Specialist and seasoned Project Coordinator with deep experience in EOSC, research data management and FAIR data practices. At CSC, she has taken on leading roles in major European projects such as FAIRCORE4EOSC and AquaINFRA, acting as Technical Coordinator and Work Package Leader. In her new role, Rumana will lead EUDAT's contributions to EOSC Mesh, making sure project objectives and grant commitments are met, and will support the EOSC4ALL team on the same goals.
With complementary expertise and shared responsibility across both projects, Laura and Rumana strengthen EUDAT's capacity to contribute to a federated, sustainable EOSC. Please join us in welcoming them to the EUDAT community!
